"VillainS" (also referred to as "Versus villainS" or "VS") is the 9th mini album by Dreamcatcher. It was released on November 22, 2023 with "OOTD" serving as the title track.
The physical album features 12 versions in total: Limited "C" version, Normal "U", "R", "S", "E" versions and the Poca Albums that comes in 7 versions, one for each member.
This is the first installment of the VersuS Series.

Background and Release[]
On October 21, 2023 at midnight KST, Dreamcatcher Twitter account reposted a video from an user called @ymenehcra99, [1] in which a person whose name was shown as "👑" sent 2 messages: "aim caorwn" and "66666683", hinting at a possible comeback with ARG. The account @ymenehcra was created in September 2023, and started posting on October 12 of the same year, among the cryptic posts and images, one is a letter with instructions. [2].
Fans also found out that there is a Youtube channel with the same name, which has a profile picture of a crown that bears some resemblance to Celly's face, [3] and who has been leaving comments on all the Dreamcatcher MVs and related videos, always talking about a crown. [4]
According with @ymehehcra99, they were hanging out with friends before they found a mystery letter, after that they started to have severe headaches and little fragments of memories appeared one after the other, the letter said that whoever picked up was in danger and they had to find a crown, which led them to an obsession and fixation to find the crown, the hashtag #FindTheCrown was created with the help of insomnia to find it.
On October 13, 2023 Dreamcatcher posted on Twitter the comeback schedule for their 9th mini album, "VillainS" [5]

Every moment of our lives, we make choices, big and small, that create countless worlds. This is the story of a villain, a wicked person. A crown with the power to possess people, and to fulfill that crown, the Villain sometimes chooses to hurt, manipulate, and advance.
Dreamcatcher returns 6 months after wrapping up the Apocalypse Era. The second installment of their parallel world series, VersuS, is about the diversity of ways to reach your goals and respond to temptation. The title track of VillainS, the first album in the series, OOTD is short for "Outfit Of The Day", which means fashion of the day. It's a big part of the "me" identity, showing the narcissism of Villain's strong convictions, swagger, and transparent greed. The album also includes 'Rising' to showcase Dreamcatcher's rock sound and strong convictions, 'Shatter' about the longing for freedom from being turned to stone by Medusa, and 'We Are Young' with a message of hope that we can accomplish anything while we are young.

드림캐쳐가 Apocalypse 3부작을 마무리하고 6개월 만에 돌아왔다. 평행세계 시리즈, VersuS 2부작은 목표를 향해 나아가는 방법과 유혹에 대응하는 방법의 다양성에 관한 이야기를 담았다. 시리즈의 첫 번째 앨범인 VillainS의 타이틀곡 OOTD는 오늘의 패션이라는 의미를 담고 있는 ‘Outfit Of The Day’의 줄임말이다. 이는 ‘나’의 정체성을 보여줄 수 있는 큰 요소로, 빌런이 가진 확고한 신념, 당당함, 투명한 욕심과 더불어 나르시시즘을 보여준다. 또한 드림캐쳐의 락 사운드와 강인한 신념을 보여줄 수 있는 ‘Rising’, 메두사로 인해 돌이 되어가는 자의 자유를 갈망하는 내용을 담은 ‘Shatter’, 마지막으로 우린 젊기에 무엇이든 해낼 수 있을 거라는 희망의 메시지를 담은 ‘We Are Young’이 수록되었다.
