On July 12, Xportsnews reported that Dreamcatcher would be making a comeback at the end of July. Following reports, a source from the group’s agency Dreamcatcher Company confirmed, “Dreamcatcher is preparing to release a new album with a goal of making a comeback at the end of July.” The group will be returning on July 30 at 6 p.m. KST with the special mini album “Summer Holiday.”
This is Dreamcatcher’s first comeback in six months after concluding their “Dystopia” album series with “Dystopia: Road to Utopia” in January. On July 30 at 6 p.m. KST, the girl group released their special mini album “Summer Holiday” along with the music video for the title track.

Dreamcatcher's special mini-album 'Summer Holiday', released about six months after 'Dystopia: Road to Utopia' in January, will give 'InSomnias' around the world a cool and refreshing sensation just by listening to it.
The album contains six tracks of different genres, including the Intro and title track "BEcause", as well as dance pop songs and ballads such as "Airplane", "Whistle", "Alldaylong" and "A Heart of Sunflower", The title track is about an obsession with a love that has grown out of control.
The title track, "BEcause" tells the story of an obsession with a love that has grown out of control. The melody of the song, which combines the pizzicato sound of strings and voices, creates an occult atmosphere and gives a chilling vibe. It's a dreamy, darker take on Dreamcatcher's unique style and sound.
LEEZ and Ollounder, who have been worked together with Dreamcatcher on 'Nightmare Series' and 'Dystopia Era', served once again as the main producers for this special mini-album, adding to Dreamcatcher's unique musical color. In addition, the member JiU participated in writing and composing the song 'Alldaylong' to enhance its completeness.
Dreamcatcher, who previously concluded the 'Dystopia' series with 'Dystopia: Road to Utopia', will now show different charm with 'Summer Holiday' before unfolding another new story.

지난 1월 ‘Dystopia : Road to Utopia(디스토피아 : 로드 투 유토피아)’ 이후 약 6개월 만에 발표하는 드림캐쳐의 스페셜 미니앨범 ‘Summer Holiday’는 전 세계 ‘InSomnia(인썸니아)’에게 듣는 것만으로도 시원함을 선사할 예정이다.
이번 앨범에는 인트로와 타이틀곡 ‘BEcause(비커즈)’를 포함해 ‘Airplane(에어플레인)’, ‘Whistle(휘슬)’, ‘Alldaylong(올데이롱)’, ‘해바라기의 마음(A heart of Sunflower)’까지 댄스곡과 발라드를 아우르는 다채로운 장르의 여섯 트랙이 담겨 있다.
타이틀곡 ‘BEcause’는 너무 커져 버린 사랑이 불러일으킨 집착에 관한 이야기를 담았다. 현악기의 피치카토 사운드와 목소리를 결합한 멜로디 테마가 오컬트 한 분위기를 연출해 서늘함을 자아낸다. 드림캐쳐 특유의 몽환적이면서도 다크한 감성을 느낄 수 있다.
드림캐쳐의 '악몽', '디스토피아' 시리즈를 함께 해온 LEEZ와 Ollounder가 이번 스페셜 미니앨범의 프로듀서로 나서 드림캐쳐의 음악적 색깔을 더했다. 특히 멤버 지유가 수록곡 'Alldaylong' 작사, 작곡에 참여해 완성도를 높였다.

The NME website, in its review of the album, stated that “while the strength of Dreamcatcher's 'Summer Holiday' lies in its varied and unusual selection of songs and genres, the girl group also shows that there is more than enough space for more courageous and forceful music in K-pop during the typically buoyant summer season, "noting on its title track that" the song effortlessly switches between upbeat synth verses and intense choruses driven by electric guitar riffs, with a slow bridge but melodic that brings the song to a totally satisfying climax. '
The specialized media Seoulbeats indicated about the album that “Summer Holiday is the lighter and more energetic side of the group's potential, executed with cunning and musical force to show us that it is not the characteristic sound that makes Dreamcatcher; Dreamcatcher is the one who does the signature, as they see fit ».
